UAE FOREIGN TRADE MINISTER VISITS KERALA
Foreign Trade Minister of UAE, Sheikha Lubna al-Qassimi visited Cochin, Kerala on 3 April, 2010 to attend the function of release the logo of the Lulu Shopping Mall. Sheikha Lubna was the chief guest at the event. UAE Ambassador to India Mr Mohammed Sultan Abdalla al Owais also attended the function.
Conveying the warm regards of the UAE government to the citizens of India and the people of Kerala in particular, Al Qasimi, said that Indians had contributed significantly to the economic development of her country and were well known and highly respected for their hard work, sincerity, integrity and honesty.
She further added that the cooperation between the two countries in various sectors was growing stronger every day.
The minister hailed the vision of M.A Yusuff Ali, Managing Director of EMKE Group and Lulu International Shopping Mall, while regarding him as a person who "kept promises." She hoped that the upcoming mall would become a popular landmark in the state.
