UAE AMBASSADOR H.E. DR. AHMED ALBANNA HAD COURTESY MEETING WITH THE KING OF BHUTAN,
JIGME KHESAR NAMGYEL WANGCHUCK
H.E. Dr. Ahmed Abdulrahman A. AlBanna concurrently holds the position of UAE Ambassador to India was accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Khadija Albanna.
Commenting on his assignment, Ambassador Dr. AlBanna said that he was immensely privileged to represent the UAE to the Kingdom of Bhutan with which his country has been able to develop a close and friendly relationship within a short span of time.
As the newly accredited Ambassador, H.E. Dr. Ahmed Abdulrahman A. AlBanna expressed that he was committed to take the relation between the two countries to a new level and that he would spare no effort in strengthening it further. With people-to-people contacts, cultural exchanges and education being key elements to date, he said that the partnership would expand into trade and investment areas as well.
On the occasion of handing over his credentials, Ambassador Dr. AlBanna was also received by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bhutan Lyonpo Damcho Dorji and Chief of Protocol H.E Sonam Tshong.
