Mr. Gurpal Singh, Principal Advisor and Head - Gulf, Middle East & North Africa, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) called on His Excellency Saed Al Mheiri, Minister Plenipotentiary and Charge D’ Affairs, Embassy of UAE, to discuss about the proposed UAE – India Business Council. Amongst the other important points which were discussed during the meeting was participation of CII led Delegation of top Indian CEO’s to the Annual Investment Meeting 2015 and CII’s forthcoming event Global Exhibition on Services.

Mr. Singh informed Excellency Al Mheiri about the Global Exhibition Services, a first of its kind exhibition on services to be held during April 23-25, 2015 in New Delhi, India. Mr. Singh requested H.E. Al Mheiri’s support in getting a delegation from UAE.   His Excellency Al Mheiri, for his part, welcomed Mr. Singh and assured his support in making the event a success.

H.E. Al Mheiri also sought the progress on the invitations that were extended to CII for the forthcoming Annual Investment Meeting 2015, a Ministry of Economy event held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.

Mr. Singh informed that CII is working to take a CEO delegation, headed by Director General of CII to the aforementioned event, scheduled to be held in Dubai during March 30 – April 01, 2015. Mr. Singh also expressed interest on behalf of CII to be a supporting Chamber of Commerce in the aforementioned event.

During the meeting, Excellency Al Mheiri also informed Mr. Singh about the progress on proposed UAE – India Business Council and discussed the next meeting of UAE – India Business Meet, scheduled for last week of March or first week of April. Mr. Singh also showed his keen interest to work with the Embassy of UAE closely on this initiative of the Embassy of UAE
