His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, paid three-day state visit to India.
His Highness was accompanied by H.H Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chief of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court and Managing Director of Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, H.E. Dr. Ahmed Al Banna, UAE Ambassador to India and a number of ministers, businesspersons and economists.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan arrived New Delhi late Wednesday evening on 10th February 2016 where he was welcomed by H.E. Narendra Modi, the prime minister of India.
External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj also called on Sheikh Mohamed soon after his arrival at his residence. Also, there was a working dinner attended by India National Security Advisor, defence minister, chiefs of staff and foreign secretary.
On Thursday morning, an official welcoming ceremony for the arrival of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan was held at Rashtrapati Bhavan in the presence of His Excellency Narendra Modi. His Highness then departed for Rajghat, the Memorial of Mahatma Gandhi, to lay the wreath and plant a tree there, before heading to the residence of the Prime Minister of India for holding bilateral talks.
During the visit, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan also called on the President of India at Rashtrapati Bhavan, and Vice President at his residence, HE Dr. Ahmed Al Banna presented during the meetings.
At the delegation level meeting held between the two sides at Hyderabad Guest House, during which His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed and HE Narendra Modi witnessed the signing of nine agreements between the two countries, including on cyber security and infrastructure investments.
On Friday, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan Arrived to Mumbai, the financial capital of India, where he began his tour by visiting Mumbai Stock Exchange and meeting business leaders, besides ringing of Closing Bell.
H.E. Al Banna hosted a reception in honor of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, which was attended by businessmen, celebrities, athletes and stars.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan left India on Saturday morning for UAE after paying a highly successful visit that reflected the depth of the historical relations between the two countries. |
