NEWS & EVENTS / October 29, 2009 // Ambassador, Mohamed Sultan Abdalla Al Owais delivered a key note address at the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) conference: "The India-UAE Partnership: Investments, Opportunities & Synergies: on October 29, 2009 in Mumbai.
In his address the Ambassador said he sees more potential that has not been tapped and called the business people of both the countries to "activate that hidden potential".
Addressing the gathering in the financial capital of India, he said this DIFC conference is a "new approach" that will further strengthen the UAE-India relations and said he believes that this will pave the way for more interactions and have fruitful outcomes.
He said, "Today, the meeting of DIFC is activating a new potential and this conference will provide opportunities to the bankers, financial institutions and industry to understand each other better."
The DIFC delegation was headed by HE Dr Omar Bin Sulaiman, Governor of Dubai International Financial Centre and Vice Chairman of the UAE Central Bank. HE Mr Vayalar Ravi, Minister for Overseas Indians and Mr Kamal Nath, Minister of Road Transport and Highways also addressed the conference. |
