AMBASSADOR DR. AHMED AL BANNA MEETS ABU DHABI TOURISM & CULTURE AUTHORITY TEAM
28 March 2016: Mr. Bejan Dinshaw, Country Manager –India, Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority (TCA) along with his team paid a courtesy call to H.E. Dr. Ahmed AlBanna, UAE Ambassador to India and exchanged views on mutual co-operation. Mr. Ahmad Sultan Alfalahi, Commercial Attaché of the UAE to India was also present at the meeting.
During the discussions, H.E. AlBanna mentioned that India is number one trading partner for UAE; also for India, UAE is number three trading partner after China and USA.
The visiting TCA- Abu Dhabi team briefed the Ambassador about their India operation and organisation setup. Mr. Dinshaw appreciated the continuous support and cooperation being extended by the UAE Embassy in past to the TCA- Abu Dhabi.
Mr. Dinshaw informed UAE Ambassador that Abu Dhabi received 280,020 Indian hotel guests in Jan-Dec 2015, up 21% over the previous year. These guests delivered 985,747 guest nights, growing by 16% year-on-year. India is the top overseas source market for Abu Dhabi.
H.E. AlBanna listened to the feedback from TCA - Abu Dhabi Team, who shared their working experience in various fields and ideas for cooperation between the business and the tourism sector.
Ambassador AlBanna assured his full support and assistance to TCA - Abu Dhabi.
