With Indians accounting for the largest number of international hotel guests for Abu Dhabi over the past year, the emirate’s tourism and culture authority recently successfully concluded series of road shows in India.
The five Day – five City Road Shows which were held between August 25 - 29, 2014 saw the participation of 14 Abu Dhabi tourism stakeholders including Etihad Airways, Yas Island, hotels, and tour operators visiting Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, and New Delhi.

"India is one of the leading source markets for Abu Dhabi. Between January-June 2014, 1,07,995 Indian guests visited Abu Dhabi, clocking a growth of 35 per cent over the same period last year. We are targeting to become the number one destination for Indians by the end of this year," said Bejan Dinshaw, Country Manager, TCA Abu Dhabi, India. "We have promoted well in metro cities till now. From this year, we are planning to penetrate deeper into the country by promoting in Tier-II and III cities," Dinshaw added.
Abu Dhabi is targeting high to mid-segment travelers from India with its famous Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, one of the world's largest mosques, Yas Island that offers multiple entertainment attractions, including Ferrari World, Yas Waterworld.
The Road show was well attended by Indian Tourism and Media Fraternity.
Lt. Col Mohammed Ahmed Bani Malek - Deputy Military Attaché, Shaikh Saoud Ali Al Mualla, Commercial Attaché (acting) & Third Secretary, and Mr. Saif Al Zaabi, Assistant Military Attaché represented the Embassy of United Arab Emirates at the Road Show in New Delhi.
