Dr. Ahmed Al Banna, UAE Ambassador to India was received by Mr. Ajay Pandey, MD and Group CEO – GIFT CITY and his team. Mr. Ajay Pandey conveyed his gratitude to H.E Dr. Ahmed Al Banna for visiting Gujarat and the GIFT City.
During the meeting Mr. Ajay Pandey explained the UAE Ambassador Dr. Ahmed Albanna that how Gujarat International Finance Tec-city is a globally benchmarked International Financial service centre developed by Government of Gujarat through a joint venture Company GIFTCL.
He mentioned that GIFT will cater to India’s large financial services potential by offering global firms, world-class infrastructure and facilities. It aims to attract the top talent in the country by providing the finest quality of life. It is estimated that GIFT would provide 5,00,000 direct and an equal number of indirect jobs which would require 62 million square feet of real estate office and residential space.
He also highlighted that recognizing the potential of the state as a centre for the financial services industry, the government of Gujarat formulated GIFT city project to realize the vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister of India.
On his part H.E Dr. Ahmed Al Banna suggested Mr. Ajay Pandey to explore possibilities of establishing facilities in collaboration with the free zones in UAE especially DIFC in Dubai, which could be strategically & logistically located in order to service the project. Mr. Ajay appreciated the thought and requested H.E Dr. Ahmed Albanna to connect them to interested UAE companies who wish to work with them. |
