AMBASSADOR DR. AHMED AL BANNA MEETS SHRI DNYANESHWAR M MULAY, SECRETARY

UAE Ambassador Dr. Ahmed Al Banna was called upon for the meeting with Shri Dnyaneshwar M Mulay, Secretary (OIA & CPV).

H.E. Dr Ahmed Albanna and Shri Dnyaneshwar M Mulay had a detailed meeting on Labour and Manpower Development between UAE and India. During the meeting both sides had cordial and fruitful discussions on a wide range of issues related to the well being and welfare of Indian Nationals in UAE, with particular focus on Indian workers. The Indian side also availed this opportunity to discuss some specific cases.

Dr Ahmed Albanna also shared the concerns pertaining to the practice followed currently for Manpower. He shared in length the concerns of UAE government for the particular subject. He recommended Joint Meeting from the concerned departments from both the countries to make acceptable and quick decision and to work towards early conclusion of a revised MoU on labor and manpower.
The two sides underlined the shared values of respect for diversity, plurality and multiculturalism cherished by the two countries which are exemplified by the vibrant linkages between their peoples. They described these connections as a unique asset for both countries.

H.E. Dr Ahmed Albanna conveyed his Government’s deep appreciation for the vital contribution of the large, accomplished and highly regarded Indian Community to the progress of UAE. He underlined UAE Government’s commitment to the ongoing process of labour reforms in UAE.

The Indian side thanked H.E. and conveyed that Government of India accorded the highest priority to the well being and Welfare of Indian Nationals Abroad, and highlighted major initiatives and steps in this regard. They thanked the authorities concerned in UAE for their cooperation. They welcomed the process of labour reforms undertaken by Government of UAE, and conveyed that Government of India looks forward to the implementation of further measures being considered.
