Mr. Osama Ahmed Al Shafar, President of Emirate Cycling Federation & Abdulnaser Yousef Omran, Secretary General paid a courtesy call to H.E. Dr. Ahmed Al Banna, UAE Ambassador to India.
The UAE delegation has come to participate in 37th Asian Track Cycling Championship for the year 2017. Which is held at the IGI Stadium from 6-10 February with around 600 Cyclists from 20 countries participating in it.
It is time for some good international action in the not so well developed sport of cycling when more than 600 cyclists, representing 20 countries, compete for honours in the 37th Asian Track Cycling Championships at New Delhi from February 6 to 10. The races are held at the Velodrome at IG Sports Complex in the National Capital.
This is the third time that CFI is conducting the event; having previously conducted it in 2005 and 2013.
H.E. Dr. Ahmed Albanna expressed his great interest and mentioned that UAE has a rich and historic bicycle culture, UAE as a Nation and UAE Companies have gained extensive knowledge in sports over the years. And the Development of Sports in India is drastic, it is evident in the case of sports like cycling.
