Mr. Sahai briefed Excellency about The Federation of Indian Export Organizations, that it represents the Indian Entrepreneurs Spirit of Enterprise in the Global Market. Known popularly as "FIEO", this apex body of Indian export promotion organizations was set up jointly by the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India and private trade and industry in the year 1965. FIEO is thus a partner of the Government of India in promoting India's exports. They have Officialy been appointed as Nodal Agency for EXPO 2020.
He mentioned our team is in continuous touch with Ministry of Commerce and will carry out active engagement to bring out best results from Participation. The team will also continue to reach out across different sectors to have major participation and exposure in EXPO 2020.
Addressing to Ambassador, Mr. Sahai said that a strong and stable India is one of the most important priorities for Indian Government. The collective events of the two Nations is not only good for two countries but will help to steer the Global Economy. Talking about the EXPO 2020, he said that the much opportunity exists to expand trade relationship between the two countries.
Dr. Ahmed Al Banna mentioned that Participation of India in the World’s most Prominent Event will have an access to a truly Global Platform to build new connections and strengthen the relationships. Since UAE sits at the heart of newly emerging centers of economic gravity and Expo 2020 Dubai will be the first international exposition ever to be held in the region of the Middle East, Africa and Southeast Asia. The staging of the world fair and the preparations leading up to it has expected increase in visitors at least 25 million over a period of 6 months.
The Expo 2020 Dubai has been designed to deliver a memorable experience for all visitors that will embark on a journey of discovery and leave them inspired to contribute to the common vision of our shared future.
Ambassador assured Mr. Sahai his full support and assistance towards any help required during EXPO 2020 and said that this collaboration will create and accelerate the development and deployment of new solutions in the areas of Opportunity, Mobility and Sustainability. |
