20 May 2016. UAE Ambassador Dr. Ahmed Al Banna had a  Courtesy Meeting with the Honorable Chief Minister of Maharashtra.

The Ambassador, UAE briefed the chief Minister on the important role that has been played by UAE in the middle east  in fighting extremism.

They also discussed regarding the common Interest of the UAE in state of Maharashtra in reference to Investments, co-operation, bilateral trade and cultural diplomacy.

H.E. Dr Ahmed Al Banna discussed on the prospective collaboration with Maharashtra in the areas of Skill Development, IT, Tourism and Urban development. On his part Shri Devendra Fadnavis extended a invitation for UAE companies to visit and invest in Maharashtra.

The Ambassador also briefed the Chief Minister about the opening of the visa centre in Mumbai, that will increase the travel movement between two countries.

Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis congratulated him on the opening of Visa Centre, Mumbai. For his part, H.E. Al Banna appreciated the support of Maharashtra Government in the past and expressed his intent to work closely with them in the near future as well.
