H. E. Dr. Ahmed Al Banna, UAE Ambassador to India attended the Inauguration of The World Book Fair 2019, on Saturday, 5th January 2019, at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
New Delhi World Book Fair organised by the National Book Trust of India, is a major calander event in the publishing world. The fair attracts participation from major publishing houses across the globe.
Sharjah was the guest of honour of the World Book Fair 2019.
The inauguration had been done by Shri Prakash Javadekar, Hon’ble Minister for Human Resource Development, Government of India; Chief Guest H.H Sheikh Fahim Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Executive Chairman of the Department of Government Relations, Sharjah; Guest of Honour, Mr. Ahmad Bin Rakkad Al Ameri, Chairman, Sharjah Book Authority; Special Guests, Shri J L Kaul, Padma Shri Awardee & Secretary General, All India Confederation of the Blind; Mr. Habib Youseff Abdallah Al Sayegh.
As a part of the inauguration the book “Bibi Fatima and the King’s Sons” authored by Chief Guest H.H Sheikh Fahim Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Executive Chairman of the Department of Government Relations, Sharjah, had been released.
A special dance performance had been done by Firqah Al Shariqa Al Wataniyah a cultural folk dance group from Sharjah.
