Cabinet Member and Minister of State for
Foreign Affairs, UAE to India

New Delhi | March 22, 2018

H.E. Dr. Anwar Gargash, UAE Cabinet Member and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs  paid visit to UAE Embassy, New Delhi. He along with H.E. Dr. Ahmed Albanna, UAE Ambassador to India had a meeting with Shri Subrahmanyam JaiShankar, Ex Foreign Secretary of India. Both the sides held delegation-level talks. During his visit H.E. Dr. Gargash met with Minister Smt. Sushma Swaraj, External Affairs Minister, Shri M.J. Akbar, MOS for External Affairs and Foreign Secretary Mr. Vijay Keshav Gokhale.

The two sides discussed matters of mutual interest pertaining to bilateral, regional and international affairs. The talks were held in constructive and friendly spirit.

On regional issues, H.E. Dr Gargash briefed his Indian interlocutors about the situation in the Gulf Region. He was briefed about India’s position that peace and security in the Gulf are of paramount importance for the continued progress and prosperity of the region. H.E. Dr. Gargash conveyed appreciation for the contribution of the Indian community in UAE in the development of their host country which has been an important anchor of our excellent bilateral engagement.
