H.E. Dr. Ahmed Albanna mentioned that the “Global Dialogue for Happiness”, which will precede the 6th Annual Gathering of the World Government Summit (WGS), brings together over 500 participants from around the world to discuss the importance of happiness and wellbeing, and the imperative role of governments in creating happy and positive societies. International experts and decision makers will convene for the second time to discuss the main themes influencing happiness and wellbeing, including government and public policy, sound and effective measurements of happiness, and the latest scientific advancements in happiness and wellbeing.
He Further discussed about the another invitation from esteemed ministry of UAE to ‘India’ to join the “Global Happiness Coalition”, an initiative that aims to bring together a group of countries interested in playing an active role in the dialogue on happiness at a global level and are interested in advancing happiness as an overarching goal of development by sharing best practices with other and the world. The signing ceremony of which will be announced at the world government summit to be held from 10-13 February, 2018 in Dubai. He mentioned many countries have confirmed the participation.
Ambassador added the happiness is gaining momentum worldwide to an increasing belief that the real work of government is to create a happy, healthy & positive society.
He mentioned that "Studies showed that development in health and education makes people live longer”. And now days experts share their insight on different indices that measure happiness and these survey help in understanding the people’s happiness and address policies to be implemented in different sectors around the world that triggers people’s happiness.
Ambassador told the minister that your presence at this premier event will open the doors for both the countries for such events in future.
H.E. Mr. Shripad Yasso Naik thanked the ambassador for the invitations and said that India is always interested in such great events. He further mentioned that happiness means people around the world want their respective governments to provide high quality education and health care. They want to feel safe and secure with decent jobs and housing. And such initiatives are very important that provide an invaluable opportunity to share the thinking with global leaders working to bring prosperity to their nations. |
