Ambassador Dr. Ahmed Al Banna meets H.E. Shri Suresh Prabhu, Minister Commerce and Industry, New Delhi

UAE Ambassador to India Dr. Ahmed Albanna paid a visit to Office of H.E. Shri Suresh Prabhu, Minster Commerce & Industry to discuss a range of bilateral and multilateral matters. Ambassador Dr. Ahmed Albanna reaffirmed that the UAE-India bilateral economic and commercial relations are not only very strong but also broad-based encompassing a range of products and services. UAE is among the largest trading partners of India. Indians have emerged as important investors within the UAE and India as an important export destination for UAE manufactured goods. And regular exchanges will further increase trade and investment relations between the two countries.
Both Ambassador and the Minister for Commerce and Industry welcomed these positive developments and reiterated the growth potential for bilateral trade. The two also agreed that the regular meetings between the two countries will strengthened to better facilitate resolution of outstanding issues of concern and increase mutual cooperation in different sectors.
Bilateral trade and investment flows between the UAE and India has supported both countries, and we know that will only grow significantly in the coming years.” Ambassador Dr. Albanna said, “However, to continue and grow our successes both India and the UAE must take concrete steps and plan high level meeting quite often.
Additionally, Ambassador Dr. Albanna and Minister Shri Suresh Prabhu also discussed about High Level Task Force meeting which is likely to take place in the near future and this would give both sides an opportunity to discuss the pending issues with respect to investments and find a way forward.
They discussed to setup the next Task force meeting soon , may be starting of 2018 to which The Minister for Commerce and Industry agreed and noted that its vital & serves as a robust platform that contributes towards promoting bilateral trade and investment between India and the UAE and areas of mutual cooperation.
At the conclusion both sides decided that the two countries will continue to work towards building strong trade and investment ties to realize mutual gains from the partnership. The talks were held in a friendly and cooperative environment, with both sides expressing the desire to increase the relations.
