H.E. Dr. Ahmed Albanna, UAE Ambassador to India met with H.E. Shri Suresh Prabhu, Minister of Commerce and Industry to extend the official invitation to honor the eight edition of Annual Investment Meeting. The world’s leading FDI platform scheduled from 9th to 11th April 2018 in Dubai, UAE under the theme “Linking Developed and Emerging Markets though FDI: Partnerships for inclusive growth and sustainable development”. |
Ambassador briefed the Minister about the real success of AIM 7th edition and how it attracted more than 19000+ participants from the public and private sectors from 141 countries and 100+ high level dignitaries. He mentioned that this platform gathers stakeholders from Ministers and Government Departments, International Organisations, Academia, Chambers of Commerce, Industrial and Economic Zones, Banking and Financial Institutions, SWF, Pension Funds, Family Offices, Legal and Financial Consultant, SMEs and Start-ups.
He also discussed that as the principal host, we will be honoured to welcome Republic of India as one of the key participants of AIM 2018 which offers, over a span of three days, an array of activities and a rich program. He mentioned Countries participating will have the opportunity to exhibit information on their investment opportunities and economic conditions, make actual investment presentations, and scheduled closed round tables with targeted investors, G2G and G2B meetings through AIM networking functions.
Minister Shri Suresh Prabhu thanked Ambassador for extending and briefing the invitation and extended sincerest regards to United Arab Emirates Minister of Economy and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Ruler of Dubai for sending the invitation. He showed keen interest in participating in the event. |
During the meeting both sides also discussed about the upcoming events and their importance in building the relationship much stronger. H.E. Shri Suresh Prabhu expressed that he is looking forward to attend the Task Force Meeting, EXPO 2020 and World Government Summit. To which Ambassador Dr. Ahmed Albanna added that this robust platform that will contribute towards promoting bilateral trade and investment between India - UAE and areas of mutual cooperation.
At the conclusion both sides decided that the two countries will continue to work towards building strong trade and investment ties to realize mutual gains from the partnership. The talks were held in a friendly and cooperative environment, with both sides expressing the desire to increase the relations. |
