AMBASSADOR DR. AHMED AL BANNA ATTENDED THE GLOBAL MANUFACTURING & INDUSTRIALIZATION SUMMIT ROAD SHOW IN INDIA AT HOTEL LE MERIDIAN
On 22 November 2016, H.E Dr. Ahmed Albanna attended the Global Manufacturing &Industrialization Summit Road Show in India, Accompanied by H.E Abdullah Al Saleh, Undersecretary for Foreign Trade & Industry, Ministry of Economy, UAE, Mr. Ramesh Abhishek, Secretary, Department of Industrial Policy and promotion, Ministry of commerce and Industry, India, Mr Badr Alolama, CEO at Strata Manufacturing PJSC & Member of the Global Agenda Council for the Future of Manufacturing of the World Economic Forum and Mr Chandrajit Banerjee, Director General, CII.
The Event started with the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Signing Ceremony between The Global Manufacturing and Industrialization summit (GMIS) and Confederation of Indian Industry(CII). Followed by the remarks by H.E Dr . Ahmed Albanna.
During the Event , Ambassador Dr. Albanna said he was pleased that he got Spiffing opportunity for cooperation between UAE and Indian Companies. Both countries recognize the potential of Fast Emerging areas like the Internet of things( IOT) and global supply chain innovation to catalyze growth in their economies. By Targeting Digital Innovation, we see the potential to start and scale companies in the UAE and India.
He further added that UAE and India have a strong and special relationship. Our trading links stretch back thousands of years , beginning with the barter of pearls for cotton and dry fruits for grain. Over the centuries, we have exchanged cultures, ideas and commodities. Our partnership has strengthened.
He concluded by saying “This new step will establish cooperation and enhance business partnerships between the countries and exploit potential synergies between them in selected areas of innovation and new technologies”.
