H.E. Dr. Ahmed Albanna, UAE Ambassador to India met the Goonj Production team, UAE’S First and one-of-a-kind urdu theatre production based on true stories and events- conceptualized , written, directed and performed by a local south Asian group of media professionals, writers and theatre artists.
One of the first original Urdu theatre productions to be staged in the region uses the lost art of letter writing as its primary theme, organised on 27 Jan 2018 in Indian Habitat , New Delhi 2018. H.E Dr Ahmed Albanna is the guest of the honor for the 1st of this kind urdu play organised by Goonj productions in India (New Delhi).
UAE – India being part of multinational cultures , Goonj has organised it first in Delhi considering Delhi is heart of Urdu language. It is the First community theatre from Dubai that is going global. And their first international destination is New Delhi.
Being organised in india, it confirms the strong and brotherly relations between both the countries. It also brings soft and cultural diplomacy between two countries. Culture can play a crucial role in strengthening international partnerships. Events like this aims at encouraging cultural cooperation between the countries and promotes a global order based on peace, the rule of law, freedom of expression, mutual understanding and respect for fundamental values.
Ambassador Dr Ahmed Albanna added Cultural diplomacy gives us an opportunity to share our UAE culture and values such as human rights, diversity and equality with other countries," . "It is also good for jobs and growth.
