H.E. Dr. Ahmed Albanna, UAE Ambassador to India Met Mr. Sanmit Ahuja, and Dr. Vinod Tare, Clean Ganga Initiative on Monday, 17th July 2017.

H.E. Dr. Ahmed Albanna attend the meeting along with Mr. Ahmad Alfalahi, Commercial Attaché of UAE to India. Mr. Sanmit Ahuja and Dr. Vinod Tare briefed them about Clean Ganga Initiative and its operations like in Water, Energy, Waste, Green Manufacturing & etc. They explained, their organization is developing and financing a number of projects within the Ganga River basin that will remove industrial effluents and toxicity by using innovative PPP models and project finance plan.

Mr. Ahuja presented the proposed framework and explained that UAE could play a vital role to clean Ganga initiative.

H.E. Dr. Ahmed Albanna, praised their efforts and mentioned that Participation of UAE to clean Ganga initiative in India would enhance the mutual and strategic relationship between the countries and also offered to make tri-lateral relationship for clean Ganga initiative. Following the meeting, he suggest them with the combined efforts to take few initiative plans to provide facilities like Bio-toilets, liquid waste treatment, Solid waste management, Drinking water system and other programmes  that will help to create mass awareness and intensify the plans to clean Ganga river.

The Ambassador, assured to help them for these initiatives and well- being programmes. He also invited their representative to UAE along with few initiative plans and strategy to Clean Ganga, in near future.
