During the meeting, both the sides discussed the progress in the relationship between UAE and India. The invitations extended by both countries for various events has proved the trust and strong bonding. The active participation with high end delegation is the result of same.
The sides exchanged opinions on the current aspects of further developing the traditionally friendly India-UAE relations, including maintaining a vibrant political dialogue and boosting trade, economic and investment cooperation.
Ambassador added We have been a close partner with the GOI on a wide range of its initiatives, but we are particularly excited to work together on a business Forum that brings bilateral relations, private events and trilateral relations discussed on a larger level.
We aim to deepen and broaden that economic and trade relationship across multiple domains, and I am excited about potential new events & visits that could come in the next few weeks & months. All of these initiatives have at their root a commitment to improve the economic condition and opportunities for people in both our countries, particularly for those looking to advance up the economic ladder.
He further added that we should also put our focus on Medium and small size enterprises which otherwise are neglected. Both the sides discussed various ways to take the steps further.
He informed the collaborating partner, CII to come up with an Implementation Framework and a Pragmatic Roadmap for advancing the two initiatives.
Ambassador said fast tracked implementation of the two initiatives would achieve tangible results for both the countries.
He also congratulated CII for opening their new office branch in Dubai, he added this will boost trade and investments in region. This move represents a further strengthening of relationship with India.
He ended by adding that he appreciate the long and fruitful partnership we have with CII to help grow the levels of bilateral trade and investment across India – and the UAE – over recent years. Our work is proving successful. |
