H.E. SAED MOHAMED SAED HMAID ALMHEIRI PARTICIPATES IN THE 7TH MP EXPORTECH 2015
 
On the invitation of H.E. Yashodhara Raje Scindia , Hon’ble Minister of Commerce, Industry & Employment, Government of Madhya Pradesh, India, H.E. Saed Mohamed Saed Hmaid AlMheiri, Minister Plenipotentiary & Charge D' Affaires A.I., Embassy of the United Arab Emirates visited Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, India from January 16 - 18, 2015 to participate in The 7th MP EXPORTECH 2015 -'Convergence of business opportunities at the Heart of India’.

The three-day summit, which was held in the historical city of Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, witnessed participation of importers from different countries, 80 representatives from SAARC countries, Latin America, Africa, Eastern Europe including ambassadors/Mission Heads of 15 countries, and another 120 businessmen from India. 

During his visit, H.E. Al Mheiri held one – to – one meeting with H.E. Yashodhara Raje Scindia, Minister of Commerce, Industries, Employment, Sports & Youth Welfare, Religious Trusts and Endownments, Government of Madhya Pradesh.  H.E. Al Mheiri also held one – to – one discussions with Mr. Anupam Rajan, Secretary Commerce and Industry & Managing Director, Madhya Pradesh Laghu Udyog Nigam Ltd. Government of Madhya Pradesh.  H.E. also held a meeting with senior members of Confederation of Indian Industries, including Mr. Girish Mangla, Vice Chairman of CII Madhya Pradesh State Council.  

The UAE’s participation at the 7th MP Exportech 2015 was a great success. The meeting with the Honb’le Commerce and Industries Minister of the State opened up new channels of communication. The Minister expressed her strong intent of working closely with the UAE.

She urged H.E. Almheiri to share details of the leading UAE companies having their operations in India, so that she could invite them to her state and showcase the investment potential which would contribute positively to the economic development.

Honb’le Minister assured her full support in making it easier for UAE Companies to invest in the state of Madhya Pradesh.

Both the sides agreed to work together to further nurture the growing UAE – India bilateral trade and investment relations.

The 7th MP Exportech fully lived upto to its objectives. Successful transactions were concluded of US$ 7.99 million for engineering goods, US$ 5.23 million for textiles, US$ 5.1 million for agro & food products, US$ 3.08 million for processed & unprocessed food, US$ 1.31 million for handloom and handicraft, US$ 1 million for stones and US$ 0.54 million for herbal and Ayurvedic products.
